Copyright notice

1. A physical or electronic signature of the owner or authorized agent.
2. Identification of the copyrighted work, or a representative list covering multiple works.
3. Identification and precise URL of the allegedly infringing material.
4. The claimant’s name and reliable postal, telephone, and email details.
5. A good-faith statement that the disputed use is not authorized by the owner, agent, or law.
6. A statement under penalty of perjury that the notice is accurate and the signer owns the right or is authorized to act.

Incomplete notices may delay review. A knowing material misrepresentation can have legal consequences.

Counter-notification

A provider who believes removal resulted from mistake or misidentification may prepare a signed counter-notification identifying the material and former location, giving complete contact details, stating under penalty of perjury a good-faith belief in the mistake, and including the jurisdiction and service-of-process consents required by law. A sufficient counter-notification may be forwarded to the claimant. Restoration may occur after the statutory period unless an action seeking a court order is reported.

Repeat infringement

Access associated with repeat infringement may be restricted or terminated in appropriate circumstances. Material may also be disabled where a substantiated claim or legal obligation supports action.

No delivery through video service forms

The Report Content and Contact Us forms cannot deliver a notice or preserve a deadline. Aggregate outcomes appear in the Transparency Report.
